She's like a Rainbow

These color collages make me so happy. I love random organization and of course anything vintage. These came from my new favorite blog "Happiness Is". These photos are the works of Hilda Grahnatan aspiring, inspiring photographer based in Sweden. They just made my day and wanted to make me start color coding something.

Good Night Owl

I really don't know when my love for owls began. It may date back from elementary school when i was a Watson Wise Owl, or being fascinated with Bubo from The Clash of the Titans. One night, I even stopped to direct traffic around an injured owl that was in the middle of the road. I just have a connection with them! I have owls in every corner of my house. All different shapes and sizes and at least one in every room to be exact. Above are some pics of my faves. My most recent addition is an owl night light with marbles for eyes, he is so cool. They symbolize intelligence, brilliance, wisdom, power, knowledge, intuition, mystery, unconscious, silent observation, independence, protection, bravery, transition, longevity and reincarnation. Whoo wouldn't love them?

I tumble for ya!

It's fun to see what inspired me last year. This is from my tumblr archive.http://dazeydaisy.tumblr.com/

Little, lovely things.

It think this section of my tumblr page is so pretty and its all a happy accident. I love it when that happens.

Lovely in Lingerie.

I came across this Vintage Christian Dior Ad from 1962 and loved how timeless it is compared to the Fall 2011 Dior Show. Also Rachel McAdams looks lovely in this Vogue Editorial shot by Mario Testino from earlier this year. Keeping out the drama of John Galliano, it is really beautiful.

Orange you happy to see me.

Look extra cute in the kitchen in this adorable cotton tie-back half apron. The orange and avocado pattern is accented with bright orange trim. I think this would be such a cute gift accompanied by your favorite recipe or cook book, or it would be extra adorable for you too. http://www.etsy.com/listing/70614185/vintage-1950s-orange-you-happy-to-see-me

Pretty in Pink

This is the prettiest shade of watermelon pink and it is even prettier in person. The sheer layer of this billowing silhouette sits over a layer of satin. Its from the 50s-60s but has no label, however there is a remnant of a union label. The wrap top has a beautiful reversible attached cowl neckline that can be worn in the front or the back. This dress is a dream and i am so excited for the new lucky owner to love it as much as i do. http://www.etsy.com/listing/70093404/vintage-1950s-vibrant-pink-party-dress

Treasure Hunt

These beautiful images taken by Gemma Booth are fun and inspiring and make me want to find an outdoor flea market. Even with all the rain, it makes me want to take my umbrella and go.  http://www.gemmabooth.com

Look lovely in this little lace and sequins jacket from the 50s. This could be dressed up or down depending your mood. Wear it with a little black dress or pair it with a t shirt and jeans. The inside is a silk/satin with a pretty lace overlay. The sparkles are so cool, they are miniature sequins in little crescent moons. You will love it.

Dolce & Gabbana Spring-Summer 2011 Showed garments made of lace, beading, and embroidery which refer to items stored in an old trunk of memories.
